If they don't dislike you, they probably like you.Most people are pretty easy to like.Sure lay might do things to annoy us at times.
An easy way to test this is to just say high, how are you.Let them do the talking and you do the listening.Or maybe a soft hello wave, and see how they respond.

I've always found trying to give you a deep tongue kiss a bit of a giveaway. You could always try asking though.
