when a guy tells you: "it's not you, it's me"? i mean i can't be the only one who gets fed up when a guy says that especially when he says "we'll still be friends" but instead he keeps less in touch with you. i hate that.

The fustration of his opinion on the relationship between you and him must be eating at you!!! I dont blame you- i've been through that feeling of "rejection" and not feeling you are good enough for some "male". You just gotta swallow your pride and go ok i'm not his type and it's ok to feel sorry for yourself!!!! it does hurt but see it this way we arent made to match everyone in the world - he is doing you a favour and atleast now you know not to waste your time with someone that has half-assed feelings about you. You should be relieved and say ok little worm, you wana get off the hook? then good !!! jump you little bastard!! i got a big fish to catch! and it aint you!! well obviously not cos he is the worm, anyway hope you get my drift, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you just gotta find the right personality to match yours! you two just dont match so dont worry about it!! but of course i would be curious to know the raw truth of why he is not interested, maybe he isnt attracted to you!! but big deal,,,look at Britney Spears, she couldnt even keep her stupid Kfed back up dancer on the chain...so dont worry and let it go cos you dont need that weight on your shoulders.....enjoy the new possibilities of meeting new people and going on dates - wholesome dates!!! you learn from the bad ones so be patient :)

It's just become a staple breakup line, to avoid dealing with the real issue.

...just as "let's be friends" is also little more than at attempt to help you feel better, by letting you think s/he still wants you in their life...when most of the time they either don't, or couldn't care less either way.

Forget him and move on as that is what he wants to do. He thinks that by saying,"We can still be friends" he is softening the disappointment that you indicated to him that you felt. Happy Christmas.

that is the very polite way to tell you that you are not the one my sweet and see if they want to stay in touch tell them where to go that is so demeaning to a person as if you couldn't cope without hearing from them ..xx :)

You know he is leaving his options open. Not being completely honest. Wait until the tables turn. He will feel what you do.

Then it is YOU that is the problem... Are you over-bearing??? Are you "naggy"?? Are you trying to change them???
