If you are a UK citizen, you have little chance of obtaining a Green Card. Otherwise, go for it.

With no disrespect intended, almost anyone could qualify if sponsored. There are Immigrant Visa Lottery's, Immigrant Visas may be secured after a petition is submitted by a family member or business.
