Before that the nomadic tribes have been attacking each other in the name of God during the days of Moses and Juda, if the stories in the Old Testament is believed to be historical. Still we educated Jews, Christians and the Muslims can not reconcile all these and settle down to co-exist peacefully. Who stands on the way, are these clerics in the Church and the Mullahs in the Mosque? Please give a serious answer.

They have agreed to disagree on whether Jesus and Muhammad were at all prophets. The disagreement still persists which is evident from long answers each serious answerer has given.

You have put an excellent question; a bitter Truth in question form!

An appeal is a query.

Jesus says that if we do not accept Him as the Son of God, then we must regard Him as a liar, and no prophet. It is therefore inconceivable that any Jew would accept Christ as anything but the Son of God, or a liar and heretic.

As far as Muhammad goes, since he does not recognize the divinity of Christ Jesus, he could not possibly be a prophet to Christians. Jews would not recognize him as a prophet because he claims God-status.
There is only one G-d in the Jewish faith, and Muhammad doesn't even come close.

You ask who stands in the way of peace. I would have to say God does. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." That is a very direct commandment. It does not leave any room for discussion or dissemination. God is God, and will be God, and the only God, and that's that! After all, if He created us, why should He settle for any less, no matter how many people might prefer to believe something else?

May God richly bless you with the Truth.
P.S. Neli is wrong - Jesus mentioned numerous times throughout old testament...

The core problems stem not from a recognition of Prophets or an assimilation of beliefs but in perceived issues at hand between the three you mention above.

Everyone wants to be "right" and wishes the other to found "wrong" or "at fault". So many Muslims thinking that "eradicating Israel" is the answer...... what a shame......

Each has in its turn invaded and killed and been invaded and killed each other in a battle over the land itself.

Christian broke from Jew in the 2nd century A.D. over the idea that a Gentile could not be considered "pure". Prior to this they were one and the same within their beliefs. Jesus as a "Prophet" was something all three shared as a belief. Once the Christians separated from teh Jewish folds, changes began to occur and time only twisted it further and further away from the original 1st century belief structure.

Mohammed began the Koran as a "re-write" in the 6th century to attempt to bring the resulting chaos back on track. Neither Jew nor Christian however believed it was necessary. Christians had already determined they were right (Ortho-dox= "right-thought") and counted the Koran and anything not ratified by the Ecumenical Councils as "Heresy" ( Hareisis= "different thinking").

Most of the prophecies from the old testament pointed to Christ in some way or the other. The Jews just refuse to accept it even with it in the prophecies.

Christ was a prophet and the Son of the Living God. Christ gave many prophecies as well as taught us how we are to live, He is the only way to salvation and He is the only Messiah.

Mohammad? Well, he teaches things that do not go along with the Bible. He teaches another God other than the One True God (trinity is a false teaching also).

Serious answer- religion as the "reason why" is over simplistic as a reason given for continual war, and this is what leaves people puzzled. The ancient struggle for resources between the europeans, the persians and the africans which centers in the middle east goes way way back, far beyond 2000 years, to the days of the Egyptian empires (the Pharoahs) and pre-dates christianity, judaism and islam.

Peace is not about people accepting other people's religions. I have no idea what hindism or islam or whatever is about, and really don't have an interest in knowing about those religions, but I love and respect my friends who are in this religions because their participation in these religions is what makes them, them. So, "peace in the middle east" or anywhere, is not about jews accepting mohammad or muslims accepting jesus christ as their lord and saviour. it's about people respecting each other's humanity and understanding that they cannot just take what rightfully belongs to someone else just 'cause! that is my humble and serious response.

Some Jews, Christians and Muslims do accept all 3 Manifestations of God. They are called Baha'is.

Baha'is believe that the God Who spoke through Moses is the same God Who spoke through Jesus Christ and Mohammed as well. True believers, those attached to naught but the Word of God, will recognize God no matter in what human abode He manifests Himself.

Christians don't view Jesus as a Prophet, that was John the Babtist. We see Jesus as the Son of God shareing with the world the good news that God loves all who love in return, as Jesus himself did. The Islamic Clerics see Jesus as a Prophet and Mohammad as an equal. We who believe in Jesus cannot recouncil ourselves to the idea of a Prophet abusing children, or killing strangers just because its being done anyway. Christians believe God decides, not mankind unless there is clear evidence of evil. That Mohammad testifies that he did such is clear evidence that he isn't a messenger from the God of love.

Jesus was Jewish, but did not claim to be a prophet.
He claimed to be God in the flesh. The ruling body in Israel at the time was very politically motivated. Jesus criticized them and showed no interest in their plans, so they rejected him as a possible Messiah.
It is sad that most Jews since have accepted their judgment, and never really examined his claim to be their Messiah.
Mohammed came 600 years later, and said everybody else was wrong - he was the only one with truth.
And he backed up his claims with the sword. "Convert or die - there are none innocent."
His followers have continued his course, since the Koran teaches that Jihad must be part of every Muslim's devotion.

If Jesus was just a Prophet then we would have no salvation and mankind would be doomed forever, the Jews are still waiting on a warrior Savior who will crush all non-Jews for them, and Islam is not a religion of salvation in that they do not have need of a Messiah who is Savior.

First monotheistic religion was Judaism, from Judaism evolute Christianity (Jesus as Jew saw Judaism as corrupted religion, specially monks were corrupted and they followed money), Islam developed from Christianity. Because of that Judaism doesn't accept Jesus and Muhammad, Christianity doesn't accept Mu hammed.... Mu hammed is not mentioned in the New or Old Testament of the Bible. Jesus is not mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible.
