I don't think there will be blanket amnesty under any disguise. This new congress is not as eager to go against the will of the majority of the people as was the Republican one. They have their eyes on the "big" prize .They want to get a Democratic elected president in 2008,so they will talk loudly but not do much of anything until they see which way the wind is blowing on illegal aliens.(ie) What the majority is feeling and saying.
The pro and anti lobby's will be working frantically to push their points of view.We must not let up in our campaign against the influx of under accounted and uncontrolled illegals into this nation.Come to this great country via the legal route .Join this nation and become a legal American citizen, then you are welcomed to pursue the American dream.
The mid term vote was not a vote for illegal aliens or amnesty. It was a vote AGAINST Bush, the war and most incumbents. Please don't confuse the two.A lot of very conservative Democrats retained or were voted in to their seats in government. Many campaigned on a platform against illegal aliens.Don't be too sure of what you think to be,until you see the reality of politics in Washington DC

If the government is listening to the will of the majority of the citizens of the USA, there will NOT be any kind of amnesty, whatsoever! However, if there is somehow another amnesty ever offered, it will not be automatic for ALL illegal immigrants. There will be background checks, criminal record checks, fees and back taxes to pay, and lots of proof required that the person has been in the USA for X number of years and has NOT committed any illegal offences while in the USA, proof of employment, etc. No, there will definitely not be a "blanket" amnesty.

No, there's no way. And back NO! because amnesty devalues the properly worth of yankee Citizenship. Democrats do adequate of that. With their gradually more advantageous open efforts to regulate the note citizen into the note difficulty. Deport them and penal complicated their employers. once the attempt begins, self deportation will also initiate. As jobs dry up and certain everlasting deportations commence. worked properly till Ed Kennedy's Immigration reform bill exceeded affirming we gained't deport 12 tens of millions in elementary words surrenders our borders and lifestyle to foreigners. Who care not some thing for the u . s ..

The key word is illegal immigrant, if they had a valid reason for coming into the country, our lenient immigration laws would have let them in legally. If they can prove ability to work, give to the country, marriage, care for loved ones, etc. There is a large list of reason to come legally into the country, those that don't bother to check, don't deserve to be here.

I hope never. We are here in the US legally. We have jumped through all the hoops INS/Homeland Security have set out, pay taxes, take care of ourselves and contribute to the economy by the jobs my husband has created in his work. I cannot work because of our visa restrictions but I volunteer with aid organisations and at school. My 18 year old son finished high school and was not ready to go to college. We had no option but to have him return to Canada as he could not work here - legally. We are trying to do this right and get our permanent residency status and have him return to the US so we can all be together. You can not imagine my frustration when those who came here illegaly will now jump ahead of us. I am ready to throw in the towel.

Any "amnesty", if it ever happens, will allow illegal aliens already here, who can't currently do so, to apply for permanent residency. In order for that to happen both houses of congress will have to approve the bill.

Well sorry, I am latino. I was born here.
The ones that Arrived here, and stayed Longer then their visa YES!
The Ones who crossed the border, Make them wait..
And Of Course They Owe Taxes - I would say $2k per illegal, minus minors, That Would Definatly Put us out of Debt.
Immigrants work hard (majority do), they just don't pay taxes, they could.. With a Tax ID, No Questions Asked. They are only consuming jobs YOU and I won't need. These are jobs for uneducated people, Farming, Selling Flowers. Come On.. you dont see them Teaching, or being cops. They are normal people who work HARD! 7-9 jobs with shitty pay, trying to put a dam meal on their table.
This is why it Pisses me off when Socialists(commies) are gaining control of Latin America, It will be a problem. The US needs to intervine before We end up losing.
Stop Being Racists, Just Because Americans can't pick on Blacks now they can pick on Latinos?? You'll see strong advocates for Hispanics.
Yes will not forget about the others from Other Countires, Africa, Mid East, Europe. hard workers who are being sent back..
This Country has Space, we have food. We Have Clothes.
Your Just afraid, that Latinos are graduating school (a good amount, yes drop out rate is high) but... They are succeding.
Want to deport some one? DEPORT CRIMINALS / RAPISTSWE DONT NEED THEM! Shoot Im for The US killing Illegal Criminals, when proven guilty.

While you're at it... give amnesty to all murderers, rapists, kidnappers and robbers. After all they too are "humans" and deserve "better lives".
