No. As a christian I see people who are very proud in the Church. I know I try to be humble but there are times I fail.

Pride and humility should both be practiced. For example, at work, I take pride in my accomplishments, but also realize that I'm just a small part of the effort. I feel I'm important and should be heard, but so are other people and I should strive to listen and learn.

I'm an atheist, so I see these false ideals for what they are. Christians like to tout humility and demonize pride. That is actually a good thing, because we tend to have too much pride and not enough humility. However, they go the extreme in that they deny that pride is a good thing and assume that humility is never bad.

In fact, both pride and humility can be bad in the extremes. If you only listen to yourself, you don't hear others. If you only listen to others, you have nothing to contribute.

The ideal is moderation in this. You should be proud of who you are and what you've done, but also realize that you are just a small part of the whole. You have to appreciate both your own value and the value of others.

Yes, we (hopefully) have learned from the mistake of Moses in the desert on issues of pride. We are humble enough to realize that our blessings are from God, and are proud (hopefully) only in the fact that we are honored to be the doer of His will.

Yes, many do...although some still struggle of "letting go & letting God" control their lives & live through them.

We all struggle with pride...it is always there.

Yes. I know many who do. They not only talk the talk. They walk the walk.
