The Grease will be circulating in your system within a couple of hours, so you could see slight signs as early as that

But generally if it were going to cause problems you would expect that to take about 24 hours

And like some others said, as a 1 off it shouldn't be too much of a problem, just dont make a habit of it

Why would it affect your skin at all? While generally eating a fatty diet is associated with eating a poor or nutritionally unbalanced diet and therefore may affect your skin, I've not heard of any scientific study that links greasy food to greasy skin. Just because you can feel and taste the fat on chips because it's on the outside, doesn't mean that they will contain more fat then ice cream or biscuits, or anything else. When you eat more fat then you need for energy it is stored in your cells (all over your body) - this does not relate to where the fat is on the food or its form as it all gets mashed up in your stomach and separated out by digestion - it doesn't just soak through your body and out on to your skin! Having said that, I have to say I had really bad dry hair until I started working in a chip shop (I've never eaten the chips that we sell so they haven't soaked through that way), but now I hardly ever even think of my hair as dry - so maybe eating a lot of chips = hanging about in a lot of chip shops = grease soaking into your skin from the air!!!

eating greasy food has absolutely nothing to do with having greasy skin and spots, that is a rumour. Spots and greasy skin are caused by your hormones and a build up of toxins in the skin

It depends on how prone you are to getting greasy skin but on average scientists have calculated on it being 20 hours...

A one of greasy chip meal should be fine though.

If you take greasy food very rarely then it hardly matters ,but if it becomes a habit then it will show after a month or so of regular bad food.

Depends how many times you miss your face... There's no definitive answer, depends on your metabolism, skin type, what you wash with, etc.., etc., etc.

Jut stop worrying and indulge! Life is too short to be paranoid about perfect skin!
