Hiker’s Bird Seed

8 cups of peanuts

8 cups of raisins

4 cups of M&M candies

Mix all ingredients together and put 1 cup per bag. This recipe makes enough for 20 people. Adding or substituting banana chips or sunflower seeds can vary this mix.

Children like to create new and exciting things. Why not let your child make fun nutritious snacks in the kitchen and allow them to share their snacks with friends and/or other siblings. These easy tasty treats are sure to be a “hit” with kids and adults.

S'More Snack

2 cups honey graham cereal
1 cup tiny marshmallows
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup mini or regular chocolate chips
1/2 cup raisins

Mix together in a resealable large plastic bag. Shake well. This is a good snack is also great to take on hikes, nature trails or to the park. Each child can have their own small bag to carry with them. Makes 5 one cup servings.

I think this one is very cute, easy and affordable to make

You will need a pack of marshmallows, smarties or mmns, these little coloured cones, any sprinkles and a licorice stick.

Take the marshmallows and microwave them till you can see them puffing up, then scoop them out into the cones
Decorate the eyes with smarties and the mouth with licorice and others with sprinkles, but do this while the marshmallow is sticky.
