Three women, all 5'3", one is a 32C, one a 34C and one 36C. I've been told that 32C looks bigger than 36C (women of same height), but a 36C is actually physically bigger. Is that correct?

As the previous poster said, a 32 may look bigger on a short woman because 32 means she has a smaller frame. If a woman is 36 she is probably not as slim so her boobs would look smaller in proportion to her body.

But you are right, a 36C is physically bigger, the cup sizes are deeper as the numbers go up, in other words, there is more fabric in a 36C cup compared to a 32C cup because the actual boob is bigger.

Bra sizes are computed by 2 measurements, one under the boobs and one around the boobs. So in your example the UK size would be

32C = 28" and 34"

34C = 30" and 36"

36C = 32" and 38"

obviously the 36C has the bigger chest measurement but 32C is more likely to look bigger because she has a narrow back and the proportions will flatter her

Yes the 32C looks bigger. A bra size represents two measurements. The number is the circumference around the rib cage just under the bust. It's basically the measurement of the Elastic of a bra that goes around the ribs. the Letter is the Cup size basically the difference between the rib measurement and the measurement around the woman at the largest point of the breasts. A=1" B=2" C=3" etc... The second measurement is best taken while a woman is wearing a bra so things are "supported." So basicaly the 36C woman is physically bigger around than the 32C but their breasts are actually the same size.

If you take underwire bras of the 3 sizes, and hold the bra cups up to each other, you will see that as the sizes go up from 32 to 34 to 36 the wire under the cups actually gets wider. So, 36C is the biggest. I think that 32C may look bigger because a woman who is a 32 is thinner than a 36 and it may just look like her breast stick out more, even though they don't. It may be an optical illusion.

The number so 32, 34, 36 is the circumference of the chest under the bust round the rib cage and the letter A, B, C etc is the cup size. 32C probably would look bigger because they are C's on a smaller frame. Get it?

The number has to do with your circumference around your back to front. I would say that a 32c might look bigger then 36c because the persons frame/weight is probably smaller and her chest would be more obvious.
