yes i want to become a female. i have felt this way all my life. i know i was suppose to be a female. i do plan to start hormones soon. i am going to try to go out in town today dressed completely as a female and see what happens. i am to the point where i dont want to be a guy anymore at all. why is it so hard for people to understand that transgenders are born this way and are not freak shows? we are born with the genetics of a female but look like a male and it sucks. why are others so judgemental of others and how they are or look? i am married and my wife supports me 100% in changing to a female but i have chosen today to be the day to get out and not hide it anymore and be me, a female.
thanks everyone,
tessa

More than likely the reason people treat you like a freak is because if you were born with the apearance of a male and you act like a female, they think you are gay, and in your case that's not it at all. Most people are not open minded enough to accept that there is a difference in gay and transgenders, so they automatically steriotype you as gay. Well, I am neither gay nor transgender, but I wish you all the luck in the world. Until you go through the procedures and get transformed you are just going to put up with all of those jerks out there that are narrow minded. Good luck.

hi Tessa and family. wow. that's a big step to make. are you really sure that this is what you want. it is great that your wife understands and is supportive. she must be an extremely strong and understanding woman. Please undergo counselling before you take that final, and permanent leap. Any decision should not be taken lightly. Good luck with your trip down town today. Good luck, and please consider your safety. This sort of subject does not always go down well with less understanding people.

Good for you! You should do what ever makes you happy and don't worry what others have to say. People are always going to find something to talk about so don't worry about it. My sister is openly gay and although some family members do not accept her, I still love and support her and will always be there for her. Those who love you will be there for you, so to h*ll with everyone else. Live your life for you. People need to take on the motto. "Live and let live".

people should be whatever gender they FEEL like they are.

i'm afraid society doesn't realize that gender isn't perfectly biological. many cultures celebrate inter-sex persons, such as the native americans celebrated two-spirits.

just be the best person you can be, if people are ignorant or non understanding, then they don't know how many people they are missing out on knowing.

i think inter-sex children make up 1 in 500 births, which would be like 4 in every high school. so the occurence isn't as rare as people seem to think it is.

Was there a question you wanted to ask, or did you just want to vent???

I've known a couple of transgenders/transexuals in my time... Having support is a good thing... And if it makes you happy, then good luck...

Way to go! At least you're being truthful to yourself and people around you - A quality which is lacking in people of today.

All the best!

You should not hide your feelings. You must do what pleases you. You were born to lead your life the way you see fit. You are not here to please others. You do not owe anything to others. Go for it.
