there's this girl I was courting that told me that her ex wanted her back. she told her ex that there's no more chance for the both of them and that she has no plans of having a boyfriend right now. the next day, I just found out that she and her ex are back together! she told me her ex cried his guts out in front of her while telling her he loves her, which must have convinced her he's sincere. she ate her words! I can't believe it.... I feel like such an idiot. what do you think of this? :(

I believe the girl still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend that's why she yielded. She's basically just waiting for him and she said those words just to ease her pain. You should be thankful that you didn't become a couple because her feelings are not yet stable and this would only result to your pain. You said, you don't understand women... Well, let me tell you, you are a fool if you even dare try to understand them... Because women, in their innermost being, don't like to be understood... When they accuse you that you don't understand, i tell you, it's just an excuse... It's their favorite excuse and it becomes their greatest argument against guys...

Well the ex crying and carrying on made her probably felt so bad for him that even though her heart was probably no longer in the relationship she decided to try to make it work again. She still was not over the ex, so it wasn't hard to change her mind.
Move on, however, be sure that she will come running back to you saying she made a mistake and fall for the ex crocodile tears. That's your cue to determine if you want to go that route again with a woman who can't seems to make up her mind what she wants; or let her know gently that you don't want to be the other man who she feel she can run to everytime something goes wrong with the ex and want a relationship without having to worry about if she will have regrets or not.

She probably broke up with her ex in the first place because of his lack of emotion. Women like to feel that they can take care of a man and when a man lacks any sensitivity she feels that he simply doesn't care... him crying in front of her put her in a place that women naturally do.. Nurture... just like mothers.. rather or not shes convinced hes sincere... im sure him crying was a pleasure for her... cause he showed her he really does have a sensitive side.

Major bummer. But I've known men to do the same thing -- take an ex back when they previously wanted nothing to do with them. Life is full of surprises. Chalk this one up to experience and move on.

I don't understand women 2 and I'm a woman myself. I think she is a sucker when it comes to him and in my opinion, she doesn't really know what she wants. So maybe she is in love with this dude, maybe she thinks they belong together. One thing for sure, you are not an idiot. It happens to the best of us. No man will ever understand a women and no woman will ever understand a man completely.

Unfortunately, in both men and women, people are suffering from the inability to just be plain honest. I have experienced that myself as a woman, and the guy never had any intentions on being with me, it was just his way of not having to tell me the truth.
A lesson learned in life!

Its nothing new...She didn't want to kick you in the face with it, so she tried to let you down easy. At least she didn't just dump you totally flat. Move on. There will be another 1 waiting to do the same thing in a couple of weeks.
