Well, I think Christians are always preoccupied. There source is the Bible, so whatever it saids about death and the hereafter, they are talking about the next life when the new kingdom comes to be and death will be know more. My personnel opinion about Mussillums is that there goal is the next life, so dying is know big deal to them. Sad, because this life can be be beautiful, too, without dwelling on death or the here-after. Find God as being in you, instead of being separate from you, John

Not all of them, of course, but yes, many of them are. Look at how often some believer comes on Y!A crowing about how pleased he or she is that these are "the end times". Then another six or eight of 'em chip in with comments about how eagerly they're looking forward to the world ending.
It's pretty clear that the Jonestown thing, the Branch Davidians, and the Raelian cult are not extreme aberrations, but just one end of a continuum of "cultishness" in religion. I'm staying clear of all of that - as an atheist, I truly value life.

I think so. All the time here, I see "Do you know where you would end up if you died tomorrow" and "You're going to hell when you die if you don't believe" and "I sure can't wait to be in heaven with my father."
If they're so concerned about the afterlife, maybe they should do what they can to get there right now. I find it hard to believe in any religion that claims my life will be 100% better once I'm dead.

No not at all. i hold deep faith in my heart and it has helped me except that i AM going to die. however, i am not afraid nor do i spend much time pondering it. i think people who ,unfortunately, do not have faith, of any kind, can spend much of their life worrying about dying therefore, becoming too preoccupied with death!

Christians should not be. We have no fear of death, so that should mean we can live life to the full, and help others to as well.

Yes, but it's understandable. Death can be fatal.
