in a club,bar, gym some guys might be nervous about the approaching but as soon as the talking starts it's all good. Is there a way to help ladies feel at ease, that they may come over and want to spark a conversation?

What is your favorite activity? (Bowling? Running?) Well, go to a community event and say hi. Be confident. Also, there are many one-liners regarding Christmas and New Years. Just be yourself. It is within you.

In my opinion i think the boy should ask out the girl but that is because i am from Chicago and that is what we usually do here but then some relationships are ruined because the guy is to shy or they girl is to shy in my school we have boys and girls and the girls usually talk to the boys and then the girls usually talk among themselves same with the boys. I'm not shure if this helps it might be a little unclear but that is my opinion.

I was going to give you an answer on this that went something like "Same way you get a dog to come to you.....give it what it cannot resist" but alas, this is a serious question.
There is no right answer to this one, sorry. It is whatever a person finds appealing enough to risk rejection.
With that in mind, I would say be open, be friendly, be seen to be having a good time witout making fun of others, without rough housing as a lot of guys in bars do, and do NOT be disrespectful. I have turned guys down FLAT for being disrespectful to people.
I hope this helps, you seem like a really nice guy just looking for tips but this has sooooo many answers and they could all be wrong.
(BTW, you have a great start for realizing they need to be at ease with you, lots of guys never even see that.)

They probably feel exactly like you do. Nervous of approaching and just waiting for somebody to make the first move. Why not be that person.

i can tell u now! girls will never come over a spark a conversation w/ a guy unless ur extreamly hot. and i'm guessing ur not so don't count on it. i'm a guy and i think that girls should never approch the guy! its the guys job! grow some ball and step up! it ur job to spark and keep the conversation hot, if shes boring or ur not her type then u'll knw! belive me, she'll drop littl' hints!;)
just be sencitive to the girls and think real hard and try to keep her thinking!
mans been on earth for thousands of years and we still haven't figured out females! if u do let me knw! ;)
