in a club,bar, gym some guys might be nervous about the approaching but as soon as the talking starts it's all good. Is there a way to help ladies feel at ease, that they may come over and want to spark a conversation?

You'd be surprised how much a smile helps. Not a cocky smile but an honest genuine smile. If you see a girl in particular make eye contact.
If all else fails... approach her yourself.

The only way to make girls feel at ease... is to make the first move. The guy makes the first move usually. Or you don't have to exactly say something, you could smile, wave or a simple "hi" would do.
