My puppy was killed by a coyote.

She was such a great doggy, so sweet and innocent.

I want to hunt this coyote down and ripped it's guts open just like it did to my doggy.

to the azz-holes saying it was my fault.... our entire property 10 acres is fenced. he either dug out on her own or was grabbed when she was near the fence. Plus it wasn't me who wanted to keep her outside.

My doggy died a few months ago. You just need time to heal, I miss my dog very much, but I know I will see him again one day : )

Ahhhh...so sad.

Why not take that hurt you're feeling and make your puppy a little memorial if you will, either by making a collage of pictures or a rock with some plants around it just for him.

In a few months from now, spring time would be nice, go to the local animal shelter and get yourself a new puppy or kitten.

Wish you the best. For the winter...why not volunteer at an animal shelter.

it is always such a terrible loss when we loose any animal, either from natural or unnatural causes, i have had many over the last 40 yrs, some rescued, some bought as puppies, and many of them have crossed over, you must forgive this coyote, as it is just acting on instinct, and no, it is not your fault for leaving the pup outside alone, the site below is one of my babies sites, and you can see many others there, it is a great condolence to know that there is a great rainbow bridge, that we will always crossand be reunited in the field of dreams with our babies,
the rainbow bridge poem is awesome, and one i live by, see above, or check out the web site below

My dogs were going absolutely nuts one night.
My cat jumped against the outside patio door like a Garfield cartoon.

I opened the door to see what the hell was up with the cat and to my surprise I had two coyotes right at my back door looking around. I flipped the light on and flung the door open wider screaming at them. They just trotted off not afraid of me.

I'm not afraid of them either and I won't hesitate to put a bullet between their eyes if they show up again.

My dogs are house dogs and inside at that moment but if they were out who knows what would have happened.

You can't blame yourself or let these f-ing nit wits here tell you you shouldn't have left your dog outside. Even a house dog could have been let out to potty and coyotes could happen to be there at the same time. Who knows?

It's just what coyotes do.

It was 2 days later when my cat finally came out from under the bed. He still goes out though even after his ordeal with the coyotes.

It sucks that you had to go through this. I'm sorry there is nothing I can say to make you feel better right now.

Mr. Coyote was just looking for food, he didn't know that was your sweet puppy. It's not his fault- or anyone's fault. It's a tragedy.
I really feel for you- I'm very sorry this happened to you- it's such a tragic loss.
Cherish your memories. When you're ready- save a life from a shelter and adopt.

When I had to put my dog down because he was very sick, someone gave me a copy of this poem. While it did not take the pain away, it did make me feel a little better. I hope it does the same for you. I truly am sorry that this happened to you and your loveable puppy.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

would people seriously say it was your fault? sorry for your loss. i know how you feel two dogs in my neighborhood tore my cat apart. i had had him for about 5 years when i left for college was when it happened (sadly my father didn't tell me until i came home to visit months later) by that time the two dogs were no where to be found. i believe hunting a coyote down would be much harder.

Killing it wunt help. Plus you can get put in jail for killing an wild animal. Plus you would most proprebly die cos they are normaly in packs.

Its you fault as any for leaveing the puppy alone.

They should never be left alone as they are younge and endagered (as you found out)

Rember life is one big adventure. Theres a different path around every courner. Mabey its time to take the next step. As long as you have a breath in your body the next step is always there.

It ***IS*** your fault!!!

'Yotes can easily get over a 6 ft. fence & WILL take ANY small animal they can.

It's YOUR responsibility to keep your animals SAFE!! Nobody elses.
