Hinduism is not a religion in the sense other religions of the world are understood. It does not have a particular Prophet or Messenger whose views are followed by a set of disciples. As generally it is understood, Hinduism comprises hundreds of such path because it gives the freedom to have your own view and worship God in any form. Forms may differ but in essence God is one and the only one. That is the reason Hindus tolerate and respect all other faiths in the world, but they do not like any one to convert their people because they are economically poor and by nature simple. Conversion is expression of religious arrogance; and the false feeling of superiority over others' faith.
