Hello,
The answer here is YES! a person can be both HIV positive & also have MS at the same time. The one thing both of these conditions have however is that they affect the bodies immune system and thats very relevant and important. Both are chronic conditions too.
**The HIV can of course be treated to some degree with anti retroviral drugs which although NOT a cure for the condition. Does reduce the symptoms a great deal and leads to a much improved quality of life.
**MS on the other hand is equally difficult & challenging as its often a condition that progress's slowly over many years. I'm not sure what treatments are currently given for MS but I'm sure a GP or doctor would be able to tell you.

Yes. HIV is a virus effecting the immune system. MS is a neuromuscular disease effecting nuerological function along with muscles, nerves and nueropathways. It is possible to have both.

Yes. And herpes, and a lot of other things too. MS may be caused by the Human Herpes Virus type 6 - its found in a lot of the tissues of MS patients.

HIV knackers your immune system - you are more likely to get most things if you have HIV. There isn't a "one disease per person" limit in life.
