Many books have been published that present evidence that shows Jesus didnt exist.
I've been looking for some serious books that attempt to do the opposite and show that he was a real historical figure, can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

Try "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel.

Summary from Amazon:

A Seasoned Journalist Chases Down the Biggest Story in History

The Project: Determine if there’s credible evidence that Jesus of Nazareth existed and really is the Son of God.

The Reporter: Lee Strobel, educated at Yale Law School, award-winning former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune—and a former atheist.

The Experts: A dozen scholars, with doctorates from Cambridge, Princeton, Brandeis, and other top-flight institutions, who are recognized authorities on Jesus.

The Story: Retracing his own spiritual journey, Strobel cross-examines the experts with tough, point-blank questions: How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence exist for Jesus outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual historical event? ...

If I can think of more, I'll post them later.

its never really the question of if he existed. i mean there are birth records that verify that for everyone else. the real question is if he is who the bible claims he was(i say bible because just on my own accounts i can never see where he actually claims to be god or the Messiah on my own if you know show me) bu there is a guy who wrote a book about it and he was not a Cristian at all So he might help i think his name was Josephus's i might be wrong on that though so yeah but i know there is a book out there just keep looking youll find it im sure
