i had the caffine addiction,
it was awful, if i didn't have a cup of coffee within an hour of getting up i'd have terrible headaches and cramps.
mine was so bad that it took a lot of coffee to keep me awake at night.
i only managed to kick it when i had a car accident and was laid up in bed for 3 weeks and felt like s**t..
i didn't eat or drink hardly anything and when i got better i just didn't need the caffine like i used to.
i'm not saying have a car accident but i think cold turkey is the way, you'll feel crap for a few days but it will get better and then you can reintroduce caffine in sensible amounts.

I'm not a coffee addict but I do like to drink it once in a while..I take soda instead..And HELL YEAH! i'm a internet addict..
Hmm..
I got a solution for you to sleep easily..
Do you have a maths book with you?
If you do, read them every night like you read a storybook..
or just read any book on a subject that you always hated
all your life...Internet?? What keep you surfing till late at night? Try stopping yourself bit by bit, day by day and you will get the hang of it..
About the soda and coffee thing..
uhh..Try taking a coffee with less caffeine in it or just drink tea ..
So that you can still drink ur coffee in a healthy and a light way and not in a heavy way (If you know what I mean)..
I hope I help you..Have a nice day =))
If you have anything to ask me, feel free to e-mail me..

Dear RR...I am not really suffering because of it lol...I go to bed at about 6:00, pm, and listen to some talk radio shows at night and get up at about 12:00 midnight, and have coffee and get straight on the internet...but just because I enjoy it, don't mean I am a weirdo...I do my own thing, in spite of the criticism...what you have to do, ...is on the weekend,...take a nytol, or something that will make you sleep, and just make up your mind that you are going to change your sleep and pc pattern...don't have any drinks with caffeine in them, get the caffeine free sodas and coffee...get a good nights sleep, and set your clock to get up early..do this for a few days and you will soon get your sleep pattern changed..but you have to be dedicated, and no turning back...good luck darling.

And I'm here to answer it so my solution is theoretical, but getting into bed and flipping on the TV at a reasonable hour with brushed teeth is a good way to go. No caffeine within four hours of bed time. And, an Ambian would help for the first night or two.

I think the day is overrated and caffeine is not worth giving up but I guess you could try hot honey milk and classical music. I think you'd have to go through a few days withdrawal to get the caffeine out of your system and your sleeping habits ironed out. I think you'd end up finding the day and life without caffeine overrated. Isn't there any way you could find just to not need sleep. Then you'd have the best of both worlds.

I grew up with parents that smoked like trains. In school I was embarrassed because of the smell of smoke. I smoked for many years but always avoided non-smokers no matter what. I knew it wasn't cool or civilized to take away that choice from others. I think smokers who just do it without caring who is there is just uncivilized. I quit 5 years ago and am pretty easy around smokers, its a big addiction and my sadness for them being addicted mediates my hate of the stink. The stink is huge once you quit, I could actually almost throw up from the smell. As far as the toxins, yes they are real, and smokers know it. They aren't idiots they are addicts.

instead of drinking coffee and surfing the WEB at nights you should avoid coffee and drink some pills for sleeping or relaxing. You need sound sleep.
try drinking coffee without cofein. Try Jacobs.

you have to set limits for yourself... i know this sounds obvious, but forbid yourself being online after 10 PM and before 9 AM.
something that worked for me (well, i'm at work now so that's my excuse), was to go camping for 4 or 5 days with no internet access and just enjoy how good it felt to be "disconnected" for a while. it's a good kick start.
good luck...

The internet is on 24/7. Surf the web in the morning.
(Sheesh! I think I could have been a brain-surgeon if I figured that out so quickly)
;)
