I'm speaking to people who force their beliefs. There is no respect for people who don't believe in god. I respect your beliefs, I listen when you talk about your god now respect that I choose not to worship god.

Who's forcing their religion on anyone? I don't know if you noticed, but this is the RELIGION and SPIRITUALITY section. This means that there are going to be RELIGIOUS and SPIRITUAL people here.
What do you expect us to do in this section? Talk about celebrities?
If you don't want to believe, fine. More power to you, and I hope you're right. On the same token, have a little respect. The whole reason a person of ANY religion wants to convert a person is out of LOVE.
It's not going to score me any points to convert a person, if in fact I'm correct that there is a God. What do I gain? In all truth, nothing.
BUT, the people who become Christians because of me gain EVERYTHING, if it's all true!
If you don't want to learn about religion, get out of this section.
If you're posting this question because people in every day life are trying to "force" their religion on you, perhaps my answer will help you to understand why.
Ignore them, if you don't like it. If Christians and other religions have to tolerate people trying to make them NOT believe, why should it not be the same for those who don't believe?

I don't preach my religion... I merely come here to answer some of the questions posed and to share or elucidate some knowledge that may I have learned in the process of my studies on the subject.
But I do understand where you're coming from since I also don't appreciate those who do insist their beliefs on others, whether here or in public, as I have been approached on occasion.
Peace be with you.

I do not preach. I am Wiccan and I believe we all are on different paths to the same end. I have no need to preach. I do what is true for me, I respect your own beliefs or lack thereof. I hope that whatever you believe or do not believe, brings you peace and fulfillment friend.
Blessings!

No one should force their religeon on anyone. Christians preach the gospel because they have found someone wonderful called Jesus Christ and they want other people to have the joy of knowing him as well. It would be selfish to keep that message to ourselves!
It doesn't mean I don't think people have a right to chose which religeon they follow. Of course they do. But surely they should be given a chance to hear about all religeons then they can make an informed choice.

I don't. I have no religion. I live by the basic laws of decency - the golden rule so to speak.
I treat everyone the way I want to be treated. There is no dogma to cloud my thoughts.

If you preach your religion to make others feel as good as you then you are selfless in motive. If you preach in order to get a green card to heaven then you are selfish and have as much chance of making it to heaven as the rich man trying to get in through that pin hole with his camel.

YES, I DO ACCEPT THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL HAS THEY'RE GOD GIVEN, HUMAN RIGHT TO PERCEIVE THEIR OWN INTERPRETATION OF RELIGION BELIEFS. GOD KNOWS I WILL NOT PUT UP WITH HYPOCRITES, EXTREMISTS, DOOR KNOCKERS, ETC... THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE I SOMETIMES HAVE TO TELL THEM TO GO AWAY FROM MY SPACE. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD,THAT IS YOUR CHOICE. I WOULDN'T WANT YOU TO MAKE IT A BIG THING IN MY LIFE, AS I WOULDN'T DO IT TO YOU. AS CLOSE FRIENDS, THIS TOPIC CAN BE DISCUSSED,IF BOTH ARE JUST LISTENING TO ONE ANOTHER.

for me, no matter what your religion is, if you are living a life worthy of respect and love, not hurting anyone and not using anybody for your own selfish desires, then, go and live, and be happy and contented.

preach = to speak fourth; to teach and correct...
Jesus teaches to correct with LOVE... this is to show respect...
question for you:
How would people know about your beliefs if you do not tell them?
thanks
