Assuming an atheist is correct and there is no god.
There is thought.
Thought can imagine a God.
If you can imagine it, it exists, otherwise we would be more powerful than any God we could create with our mind.
If I can imagine being you,
Is it possible that I am you?

You could imagine being me, but that would be identity theft and punishable by law. Attributing fallible logic to an Atheist in no way invalidates Atheism. If you can imagine being a rock, are you a rock, or a mineral matter of variable composition, consolidated or unconsolidated, assembled in masses or considerable quantities in nature, as by the action of heat or water over millions of years.

The world you perceive are just signals received by your brain. How do you know where these signals come from? You seem to have a hand, but how do you know? People have had their hands amputated and still feel them. Just signals. Your brain interprets these signals and feeds them to your mind. Is your brain right? What if what you perceive as sounds should be colours? What if pleasant warmth is really pain? How do you know? They are just signals. Where is your mind, anyway? Some say the brain, some say the aura, some say the solar plexus. Some say in another dimension. Who knows? Maybe your real body (if you have one) is totally different to the one you think you have. Maybe it is un a virtual reality machine. Who knows?

I think you started to lose track around ..."If you can imagine it, it exists...", because your words would indicate that we could not create a god w/our minds because we would be more powerful than any god, etc, etc.

However, if you are me, you are blessed, because God has been blessing the heck out of me lately!

No dear, only in your own head.
You can imagine anything you want, God, the Celestial Teapot, the IPU or the FSM but it doesn't make something real, if you think imaginings are real you are simply deluded..

Spinkle: Not really ... because you are female and I am a male, for starters ! God's existence CAN be proven scientifically . Therefore, it is not possible ! There are two types of "Christians" the ones - who think God exists and the ones, who KNOW God exists . Thinking is not knowing. But, knowing starts with thinking !

If you can imagine this question... you can imagine anything, which means that you could be imagining that you are me, which is really good because you can pay my bills now :)

first of all, you need to rephrase your question or your logic because you are really confusing in the middle part.

secondly, the idea of being someone else is crazy. you would have to believe that the mind and body are separate entities. but since the mind cannot exist without the body, they are one.

No, you can't imagine being any of us because you don't know the slightest about us, our lives and our appearances. So that rules out the possibilty of you being me.
