I have heard James 1:14-16 be compared to a cavity :) lol...

James 1:14-16:
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed(eating candy). Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin(the cavity); and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death(loss of teeth).
Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. (candy is bad) lol...

ok maybe goofy... but funny none the less..

On a serious note... How many Christians actually get rid of all thier sin and are a "New Man" in christ Jesus... Have any of you stopped sinning?

That is a great analogy...

I am working towards stop sining and it is possible (2 Peter 1 - and you will not fall/ stumble/ fail)

My Spirit is new and God's but the rest of me is a tinsy bit (which by the way still means in dire trouble if I don't sort it out) rebellious...

People have to sin. think of it a moment.
People are Jealous, so is God.
People Covet other people, so does God.
People think they are better than other people, so does God.
People beg for riches and lie to get them, in the name of god.
People Kill people, in the name of god.
People steal from other people, in the name of god.
If you follow sinners, you'll be a sinner
The cards are stacked against people from the start.
Read the first commandment then read the last two. God even admits to his own sins.
