There comes a time in everyone's life when tomorrow actually will not come. We all will pass on and nobody knows when. I have looked at sudden death for 33 years and the big questions I had were like yours.. I promised myself that I would never leave an argument to go on and on. I wouldn't let an opportunity go by that allowed me to say a few words to people as I meet them during the day. The best 2 words ever are "BE NICE"---that says it all. Realistically I know I don't meet every day as I would like, but I feel confident that I would be remembered for NOT being a jerk and slinging hard feelings and harboring grudges. Not everyone is the type to have a joke of the day for everyone, but just being pleasant and taking the time to listen to what someone has to say is a nice way to be remembered. You can't give out money to every charity, or take home every puppy or kitten, but you can be charitable in your own little way that makes YOU feel good. I truly feel a smile to everyone ---even just in an area you don't know anyone, or allowing an older person to have your seat, or letting a car out of a tight squeeze---can make someone's day a little better--if not, hey, you tried. Try to do stuff that people don't know you're doing. It will make YOU feel good. Being a good friend is being there for a person regardless of what happens---or not agreeing when they do something you know was not right. It takes a friend to do these things.Friends are loyal, forgiving, understanding, tolerant, accepting, no demands, no expectations, and you don't have to be attached at the hip. JUST LET IT HAPPEN--you don't have to force it. Sadly we will all lose a person close to us....you will just naturally recall all the good times---even when you don't think those times were so good. Take care of yourself--you are the most important person in YOUR life--then take care of the rest. Don't forget that it's OK to say I'm sorry, or I was wrong....or to say that you appreciate what a person means to you---but try to show it instead of saying it...words are cheap. It is also OK to have a bad day---you will have problems pop up and that too is natural. Hopefully the friends will be there for you, too....but if you never expect anything--you'll never be disappointed. Best of luck to you and keep smiling

This is why we all should be loving, understanding, compassionate, kind to one another, because we never know if we will see one another alive again. This world has many ways for death to claim you! So we should love one another more and let your loved ones know that you love them!
