Magic and spells are a pagan way to communicate, they are about trying to force supernaturality on the earth in a natural way, which is contrary to the Christian teaching of trusting in God. In the Bible there are listed many ways to communicate with God, including prayer, fasting, dancing, singing, playing instruments, shouting, even sex (inside marriage) is a type of worship as it honors God. Any joyous representation of our relationship with God is worshipful and honoring. Each form of worship has it's own sort-of "point": prayer's point is to change our will to suit God's; singing, dancing, playing instruments, shouting, etc are to express to God how joyful we are about who He is and what He's done; sex with your husband or wife is about representing on earth the intimacy He died to be able to provide for us (that may be pretty mature for this forum...I apologize, Yahoo can delete that if it is.) There are many different forms of worship that all come down to the same thing: worship is about giving control of our lives up to God. Anything that expresses that is worship. Good luck in your search for more answers! :)

they cant do magical spells because it is forbidden by scripture, but dancing and and swimming are all kosher. actually you are told to dance, sing, play an instrument, wave a banner, and make a joyful noise, as well as other things in worship of God.
also because this is how God said to worship him, anything else would bother him/get on his nerves/ make his wrath wax hot etc.

They pray to ask Jesus or God for an answer to their worries and fears. so do dance and sing.
what do you think magic is but another form of prayer asking for something greater than your self to show you the way through a problem that you are having trouble with.
