There are different classes of angels such as angels, archangels, cherubim and seraphim and they have different appearances. Angels can take on human form so that sometimes we entertain angels without knowing it (Heb 13:2). When a person encounters an angel the reaction is often fear. So their appearance must by awesome.
A description of cherubim can be found in Ezekiel 1 and 10. They have four faces (one facing in each of the four directions. They have a face of a man, the face of a lion on the right side, the face of an ox on the left, and the face of an eagle. They do not turn when they move because they always have a face looking in any direction. They have four wings. They also have a wheel full of eyes.
Seraphim are described in Isaiah 6. They have six wings.

God's angels have long robes of white, long flowing hair, they are full of dazzling light and they carry the presence of God's love and protection from evil. They can look like ordinary men. From Dr. John Bechtle's article

They are greater than man in knowledge, but not omniscient (2 Samuel 14:20; Matthew 24:36).

i always say angels or God is like water - like water takes the shape of the container. Angels and God takes the shape of the what you think of them as.

Beyond your wildest imagination..more powerful than you could ever comprehend..but what gets me the most is how people can believe so easily in angels, but yet it so hard for them to believe in God (the maker and creator of the angels). Sad, really.

it says in the Bible that angels are actually very scary looking. Many peopel were frightened when they saw them.

Angels are actually eudaemons and they look like any other spirit (except for the gods and goddesses) which is basically people. No eudaemon has wings because they are not birds

They look like you and me.... they do not have wings. That is folklore.
And if you ask them to shake your hand they will not do it... becuase they are in spirit form and they konw you can't feel them and it would be deceiving to you to do so.
Angels from satan will try and shake your hand, that is how you know the difference.
