Even with the bible saying these things about god, the christians still don't realize that they contradict the other descriptions of omniscience, omnipotence, perfection, and benevolence...

How can a perfect and all knowing god be angry at something that he knew would happen, and that he was the cause of in the first place??? If he is angry at something, then he cannot be perfect because a perfect being cannot be displeased with his work... If he is jealous, then he is not all powerful... How can a god that can have ANYTHING he wants, be jealous of something?

Practically every one of the descriptions of god from the bible contradict each other... It's pitiful how the christians just don't get it...

Personally and I am sure as many others have answered this question hurts me! To think that anyone could think of GOD, our CREATOR, SAVIOR, would be percieved this way by anyone. I am not saying you don't have the right to your own opinion, but the reason why God may seem to be those things to you or any other individual for that matter could be b/c (in the Christian belief) he created us he is our Master and Maker. Say if you created something that could live, even use for example your pets. If they are YOURS you want them to abide by YOUR rules. If they do exactly what you told them not to do you would be a little ticked too! If that pet or creation went off to abide by your next door neighbors rules and not yours then you would be a little jealous too! God has a huge "wrath" upon Earth (or all creation for that matter) but it's just sad that when we all get a chance to see it and know that it was God's wrath and power displayed when the rature comes. I am not saying you aren't completely content in your beliefs, but I was raised in church and w/ in the past year to 2 years I have strayed away from church and I tried to fullfill the void in my life so many ways, and not until the last 2 weeks was I truly happy when I started back to church (well Sunday School...I don't like our pastor so I found a Sunday School class that I love and they are so accepting) and getting more into my devotions and reading the bible and I haven't been happier! So if you ever want to talk a/b ANYTHING you can e-mail me at prettynpink12586@yahoo.com. And I will be more than willing to talk to you, if you ever have any questions! God Bless! *Makenzie

confident he's. Whats there to describe away? He loves people who love Him with a jealous rage and could place His vengeance on people who do no longer. LOL you're able to desire to be the King of Fools to "think of" that your being in the incorrect team against God is humorous. regardless of floats your boat however. John 3:sixteen God Bless

I'd say immediately. A good therapist works wonders.
However, if you seek god in every act of kindness you witness, in every note of empathy, you will find it. It's just the word that sometimes ruins the fun of the search. People take it sooooo seriously!
May Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Abraham, the Pope and Paul Simon save you, my child. =)

And may I ask what you are? You outta be ashamed of yourself to speak about the Lord in such a terrible way! Honey why don't you get offline and go to sleep and you might wake up feeling in a better mood tomorrow. It sounds like you are only on here to be spiteful and mean you bad, bad girl.

I don't see "God" as angry. Michaelangelo did not see him as angry either, when he painted "The Sistine Chapel". You should check out the dvd of the movie "The Agony and The Ecstacy", starring Charleton Heston as Michaelangelo, and Rex Harrison as Pope Julias. You should seek "God" for help. "God" was not angry until' the human race started destroying itself.

He was also merciful, and loving and gracious, who made sure to measure out all of his wrath so that it was both just and fair to both parties. He wants control because he is the one who made us so he knows how we work and what isn't good for us. he takes our emotional baggage as his own and spares us from the spiritual damage it would cause his people.

Wow you definitely have the wrong picture of God. He is Almighty, loving, caring, omni-present and loves you. And no He does not need help. He needs nothing, but He wants to love you.....
