I want to get my belly pierced this weekend.. but my holiday (which is about a week and a half from now) is coming up. Its held at a place which has a beach so I was wondering... is it okay for me to go swimming at the beach so soon from getting this done.... after all.. it is salt water =)

i could be wrong but i thought salt water helped healed and clean out your piercing. wheni got my nose pierced the guy gave me sea salt and told me to was my nose with it twice aday.

when i got my belly button pierced i was told not to swim for at least 4 weeks after getting it done..yes salt water is good for piercings and helps it heal but think of all the other stuff thats in that water that could possibly cause an infection...however if u must swim in it make sure you clean the piercing reallyyyyy well..because infected belly buttons are never fun

Salt water should be ok, but the beach itself can be very contaminated-both the water and the sand. If you're nervous about it, ask your piercer.

hi before going to beaches pls wait for atleast 1 week so that it heal

sea salt is great for piercings

Saltwater is actually like a anti-bacterial, so this would actually be a good thing. Dont worry, I am sure it will be allright. Enjoy your holiday!!!!!
