HELLO NEW YORK
Do not feel guilty for not praying for a while. God knows your needs and wants even before you think them.
Even when we are older, we do pray from things we "want" or "want to happen" and that makes me feel selfish. So now I end every prayer with, as is your will Father and I mean it, I accept his will for my life. Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers (sorry, stole that, lol).
GOD LOVES US ALL

Don't EVER feel guilty about praying. It doesn't matter that it's been awhile. If you feel the urge to pray just know that it's the Holy Spirit nudging you to seek help from the Almighty. I can relate to it being awhile but never ignore that urge!!You don't have to bee religious to pray at any time. The Heavenly Father is always listening. You have to know that. Make sure you pray in Jesus name no matter what you're praying for. If you need answers just ask for clarity or discernment. Be slow and clear with what you say. He will take what you pray for & it might not be what you meant. So be careful with your words. Also, Give plenty of thanks and honor. God Bless you & I'll say a prayer for you too.

Nothing will test a relationship like, "Who gets to drive." Even when we love somebody enough to die for them, we still like to be in control in the relationship. You say your life is out of control right now, you feel a need to pray but you are just asking for answers from us in YA, rather than stopping and praying. Praying would be saying, OK, God, you drive for a while. The answers you want, would leave you in control, you can still choose to follow the answers or not. Before you start to pray you have to let go of control, admit you can not do it on your own and you just don't want to do that. That would be too religious.
What should you think? Think about what's on your mind. You are doing really well. You are making choices. You are admitting who you are right now and that is a very good place to start. What are you going to do next. Make believe you are in control or admit, you never had any control that wasn't given to you. The promise of faith is that once you give over to God, you will do better than drive, you will thrive. Go on, trust your life to the best pilot there is, let go and live.

You should find a quiet place where you can be alone. Pour out your soul to God. If you are sorry for not praying, tell him that. He is a forgiving God. Then, wait for an answer. It may come immediatly, in five minutes, days, weeks, or even a month or two. Just think that this is your way of knowing God exists, and that he loves you, and wants the very best for you.

If you are feeling guilty about not having prayed in a while, perhaps that's the first thing you should address in your prayer, something along the lines of:
Hey God, I'm still here. I'm sorry I haven't been in touch and I feel kind of bad about that, but I know that You still love me and You understand me...
and go on from there.

Guilt is only a useful emotion in as much as it keeps you from making the same mistake again. It is Satan's tool if it stops you from doing the right thing now. God wants you to communicate with him all the time--sharing your joys and pains--as you would with a loyal friend. What should you think?? Jesus might have said, "Go and sin no more." May all your prayers and your relationship with God be blessed with much love and understanding on both sides.

Believe in yourself. The God is with you. No need to go to a particular place or no need to find time for that.
Just whenever you feel like praying, just close your eyes and just pray. All your prayers will reach God. Because the God is with you; all the time.

No, don't feel guilty. Your guilt is exactly the opposite of the forgiveness that comes to us through Christ. One reason forgiveness is so important is because it overcomes that belief we have that we are not good enough, or that we don't deserve God because we have done something wrong (or haven't done something we should). With forgiveness comes the opportunity to do differently.
And we don't really receive God because we "deserve" Him; we receive Him because He loves us. Christ offers to forgive us, so when you pray, take a few minutes to ask for forgiveness for those things that have kept you from God, and ask God to take those obstacles away from you, so that you can maintain an ongoing relationship with Him.
Blessings to you in Jesus Christ.

Don't ever feel guilty about praying. God hears and knows everything. Even before we ask it. I feel guilty when I don't pray. Prayer is your communication with God.

It's a good thing that you are not very religious. Religion won't help you, only God can do that. Why not get to know Him and see that He loves you and that He listens to everything you say and that He is with you in good times and bad times. Jesus died for your sins aswell. God gives peace and I pray that you will get to know Him and I pray that He gives you peace and answers to your problems...God bless
