I have recently become closer and closer to God. I have developed a great interest in learning to be a good christian and helping others become christians too.
Whats the best advice you can give as far as learning to reach people who are defiant unbelievers, like the ones who believe in 'science'?

I dont mean science like 'computers' I mean it as far as evolution, how they came to be. science is not a means to salvation.

well, sharing your beliefs on YA is a start..share them any time you get a chance...People watch you all the time..you are ALWAYS a witness for or against God. So when you go out tomorrow think about is what I am doing pleasing to God...will others see Jesus in me...Most people don't think about being watched but you are always watched.and you are a witness in all you do, say, where you go, etc. Eventually as you grow in Christ more each day people will see the change in you and will hopefully want what you have

You're going to try to get people not to believe in science?
Yea , lets all go back to the dark ages.
Get off the computer you blasphemer-it is a tool of science and the devil!
Science is certainly a means of salvation. It has probably saved the life of someone you know. Vaccines have probably allowed you to have lived longer than the average person at the time of Jesus. As for evolution, it is FACT. No thinking person believes otherwise. God is speculation and faith and creation is just FANTASY. It was explained that way to the early jews and christians because they didnt have science yet and couldnt possibly comprehend evolution at that stage of human development. But we have come a long way. Why dont you join the 21st century and grow up? You can still believe in God, just put away your childish beliefs in the magical hand of god saying abracadabra! let there be humans! Why couldnt god have created the universe such that evolution takes place? You're basing all your beliefs in a book written thousands of years ago by people who didnt know any better. You could still accept evolution and also accept that god created humans. He just didnt do it by saying poof! there are humans!, but allowed the universe to be such that natural development over time couldn't help but produce humans. The Bible is a wonderful book with many great ideas and many great methods of getting along peacefully with our fellow human beings. But the Bible is allegory! The Bible couldnt talk about evolution any more than it could have talked about computers! But you believe in them now, dont you?

The best thing you can do is keep lines of cumunnication open with the Father above, also let your friend know what you beleive ,but DO NOT force anything apon them! You might freak them off Church for life?! And if you keep praying for them show a good example they will come in flocks, beleive me to let Jesus shine through you no one will miss the change and everyone wants what you have. God Bless you in your walk!!!!!!!!

With your attitude, you better stay out of the business. You don't understand science if you put it in quotes. Have you considered that you could drive a wedge between people and God? With your lack of tact, stick to preaching to the choir.

First pray and let God give you what words and understanding you need. Don't single out individuals, but reach out to all. If you pray and go to God with a true heart he will guide you where he needs you most.
Ignore all the insults and ridicule you may endure, use it to strengthen yourself in God and his word.

True science verifies the existence of a creator and God wants us to fish for men who are not happy swimming in this cesspool, not those who enjoy it.

If you haven't read the book In His Steps, by Charles Sheldon, read it. You can download an digital version through esword at http://www.esword.com . The best way to bring others around is to try to be as Christ like as possible. Others will judge Him by how we act.

Get saved if you are not already, then pick up some pamphlets and go out witnessing. Just have your material together so you know the answers when asked.
