I have to take a bus to work in the morning. I keep bumping into the same guy on the bus and want to avoid him. I tried to see if i could take another route, but that would either make me too early or too late to work or I would have to go on a rout that goes out of the way. . . . . Or how do you tell the person in a polite way that you do not want to be anymore than aquaintences?

Say you're too busy with your friends, family and work to be any kind of friend, and start bringing reading material on the bus. You're not obligated to continue anything with a stranger from a bus.

It is a lot of trouble to change your route to work just to avoid someone. Unless you think you are in danger, there are easier and better ways around this problem. Take headphones and a magazine with you and if he tries to speak with you, make it look like his interruption inconveniences you because you have to take out your headphones and stop reading. You could try to sit next to seats that are already occupied so that he cannot sit next to you. If he flat out tells you he is interested in you and wants to go out with you, politely tell him you are really flattered but that you are not interested in going out with him. It is best to be polite and direct. A simple answer will spare him from wondering whether he has a chance.

sit way up close to the bus driver. Most ppl aren't willing to hit on you when the bus driver can hear ya. Ya know, because the driver has probably got better game.
