I think it can go a lot of different ways. Humans are very potent, sensitive creatures - it is more than possible for us to perceive things with our senses that we can't easily define.

Sometimes these perceptions are rationalized as something else - premonition, psychic phenomena, whatever.

Sometimes we can't 'deal' with them, so they become 'voices'.

Sometimes .. they're something else.

Spirits, maybe. God or angles, perhaps. Our own 'greater' intellect, the better possibility.

I believe all beings, including planets as well as humans have energy centers. These energy centers are connected to each other by very high frequencies. People who hear voices are simply recivieving information. We all are, except not all care to pay attention to it. Others are just not sensitive enough. Like there are better cell phones than others.

If we understand that one action will have an effect on everything in the universe forever, everything can be predicted. And since that action's consequence begins as soon as the action begins, many new events have already taken place by the time people with high receptivity percieve the information, which has been affected and transformed as it travels through every entity of existence.

The voice part is their own consciousness or subconsciousness translating the information into actual words. Why wouldn't they translate it? It makes it easier to express it to others. I'm sure that if they could project the information in motion picture form somehow, they wouldn't turn the info into words, but rather just show the movie.

It's like a book: The writer feels the story, sees it in his/her mind, then puts it into words. If the writer didn't turn the visions and feelings into words, how would he/she express it? Well, if the writer had the ability to produce the visions in his/her mind, he/she could just make a moving picture directly, and skip the writing part.

Or the writer could draw or paint or sculpt. But that kind of expression's message is not always completely discernable by all. In fact no medium is completely precise in faithfully expressing the visions, sounds, thoughts and feelings that dwell with the psyche. That's where telepathy would come in. If you can recieve other's thoughts and feelings clearly and at will, there would be no more need for speaking and communication would be flawless. That would be a great leap in sprituality.

As far as criminally inclined people who hear voices goes, I think they are very traumatized by society. They seek to let out their frustration and anger somehow. Since saying that they want to kill someone because they are so pissed and actually doing it is unacceptable by society, they convince themselves that another entity besides themselves is telling them to do it. It's an excuse to give themslves the OK to go ahead and kill. The mind is so powerful that we can decieve or convince ourselves about any given situation if our pain about it is too great to contain.

There is a way to discern what is happening. Sometimes a person is having a psychotic episode, and sometimes not. It is not unusual for us to hear our own inner voice (perhaps at a higher pitch) warning us. This is call intuition. Primitive people relied on it more than we do today, but the ability is still within us. The bits and pieces of conversation is another thing all together. That sounds a bit more like a mental health issue.

DEAR SADLY MISINFORMED

This is NOT a spiritual issue other than those who hear Jesus or God speak (and not schizo messages) as I have. It is never a warning of something to happen, nor bits and pieces of conversation, IT is God talking to me through songs, readings, and sometimes just when in prayer.

This IS a psychological (not psychiatric, lol) issue and it deals with the brain and whether or not we have a "sixth" sense or ESP.

Schizophrenics do sometimes believe they hear the word of God but he is not the only one they hear from. These people are ill and when on medication they do not get "messages" from God.

GOD LOVES US ALL

The voices could be a spirit guide, spirit (not a ghost) or an illness. I believe that people are now realizing that there is something more going on after death. The windows are opening more and there is more spirituality in the world.

In the Bible, God did speak to people individualy over the centuries. It was not always frequent.

There is no indication that He has stopped giving personal messages to people through dreams, visions or even a voice .....usually in a person's head.

I have experienced it. Once it was an answer to my question and no big prophecy. At other times it is just guidance as to what to do.

The voice of warning you talked about is the Holy Ghost protecting them. With your other question, I would have to interview the person to find out if it is a crazy person, or one who has the Spirit (therefore not a crazy person)

I am a Christian who believes in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. My belief is based on what the Bible says, therefore my answer comes from my understanding of the Bible which is the inspired word of God. We were created to worship God and God is a spirit being, and we were created in His image, therefore we have a spirit. When we accept Jesus as our Lord/savior the Holy Spirit lives in us and becomes a greater influence in our lives. Until then, God is constantly waiting, seeking and trying to get us to acknowledge Him and to receive Him, to worship Him. His spirit, the Holy Spirit, can speak to us and to our spirit in many ways. He speaks to us through the Bible, through other peope, through visions & dreams, AUDIBLE VOICES, situations and events that occur in our lives, 'quickening of spirit' = gut feelings, to name a few. There is also the enemy - Satan - the Devil, who has influence also. His plan is to lure us away from believing in God or to at least confuse us.

I'd say that if someone hears voices then they are crazy. As well, anyone who claims to have heard God is also crazy. God doesn't talk to people... it doesn't work that way.

If you wanted to get flowery and metaphorical, you could say that God talks to your soul but it isn't verbal.
