He is talking to his bishops, deacons and the other heads of his church at Philippa.
He was giving a motivational speech.
He was telling his bishops to do as they were told by him or Timothy.
Why do you people like taking just one verse out of context all the time and claiming it makes a point totally unrelated to the chapter in the book? It is a very dishonest thing to do!

these days, this ancient 'heresay' just isn't convincing for many people. The trouble is that many a christian is a gatherer of power and wealth which is very anti jesus. If such people say they believe in jesus then jesus could shrug his shoulders and say ' big deal, what do you want a gold medal'?

I think that it is a misquote of the Hebrew Bible where it says that ever knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Yahweh is Lord.

It might mean that there will be very few people left able to bow, and those who are will know that only by their faith in/of GOD were they saved. I notice your hedging your freedom given to you by your LOrd Gods son, isn't that a sign of doubt?

For me it says... That at the end we will all be on bended knee.
and we shall all be saying Jesus is the way to get into heaven,
Unless im not reading it right.

I think it's pretty literal in it's meaning. theres nothing really to translate or interpret. but it is still just words on paper. I like a good fiction read every once in a while.

Most of the bible is fiction! Paul took the story of a wonderful man and fabricated a myth.

David: I am a Christian and have just one quick question. Why a - rather than an o in Lord and God?
