I don't want opinions or regurgetated information from Christians or Muslims. Please give me all of the references about the treatment of women both from the Bible and the Koran (hadiths as well).

A good researcher doesn't read one book (or quote) but many. Then he makes his final decision.

Don't just believe what you read in book. Go live in an Islamic country and a Christian country and experience for yourself and then formulate your own opinion.

For starters,
Women in the church (nuns, sisters) have to wear a specific garb, and are restricted in the activity of the churches, have you ever heard of a confession made to a female?

Women in Judaism, are forced to wear long black dresses or skirts the same as church women (below the knee), married jewish women also have to wear a head dressing, single women do not. Jewish women hold next to no weight in religious ceremonies, aren't allowed to touch the Torah, and many other restrictions.

Muslim women, have similar restrictions to the Jewish woman in what she can wear, but always has to cover head and face which is where it differs a little. She also has almost or absolutely no say in religious ceremonies.

In both Jewish and Muslim households the man has last say on anything and everything.

You have a tough question, I hope my answer helps even though most of it has to do with style of dress. I also didn't know what you meant specifically by Bible, Christian or Jew, so I tried to give examples of both to the best of my knowledge in a vague but general idea. Try wikipedia for more specifics?

Steph: This is a GREAT question and requires a lot of time to look up and retrieve the scriptures from the Bible. All in all, God esteems women and Jesus Christ, had many women friends. Jesus even, saved a woman from being stoned to death at the hands of the power-hungry religious leaders of His day ! Figuratively, the church is referred to as a "woman" or the "bride" of Jesus Christ. Hope this gives you some insight into what God thinks of females, today !

in my opinion, having lived in both christian and Islamic countries women are viewed as second class citizens, as far as the religions are concerned women are only good as mothers and servants to men

Weakminded, dependent, immature, and blinkered dreamers learn the verses of these books off by heart, and vomit them all over thinking people to prove points about how we should behave. It is madness.

Like you said 'A good researcher doesn't read one book...'
So start reading and do your own homework.

Good come back. Best of luck.
