Not unless a family member co-signed for the person to get the credit card. Any person whose name is associated with the credit card company meaning they have a credit card with the same account number will be liable also, such as the spouse or of age children.

Only if they are joint card holders or co-signers. If a man dies then his estate is responsible for paying. My sister's husband got a card after they seperated and they still held her responsible for debt because they were not legally seperated. I also think it depends on which state you live in and their laws.

NO. Legal heirs are to accept the liability, before they become legally answerable. If they do not accept then the liability of deceased is dead along with him.
