Man created God who then gave a name to certain acts "Evil"

Yes he did meaning that he created all things and again God does what he please and you cannot change that. It does not mean he is a mean God and perhaps you should read the story a little more detail to understand why the evil was sent and not dwell on the verses that is only saying something about evil.

Hello :)

the question:

God created all living things and said: it was GOOD
yet God created evil...
Evil is not Good
Thus God does not exist....

I believe that God did NOT create Evil...

In Isaih 45:7 in my New Kings James version and also NIV it does not refer to EVIL... The proper translations talks about a DARKNESS... the two have different meanings...

In order for there to be light there must be darkness... This passage was not talking about a Mans Heart but rather the physical substance of light... when you turn off your flash light you see darkness... that is not evil... its just dark outside...

"I form the light and create darkness" which means darkness comes from the absence of light... not that god created evil...

No where in the Bible does it actually say God created Evil...

However, it says that GOD USES EVIL...

God uses evil to dissipline us at times... to spank us as a loving father keeps his children in line...

#1 Evil is not an object...
You can not see Evil. You can not Touch Evil. thus, it is not a created object.

#2. God created all OBJECTS... "earth, sky, ground, water, animals, man" -- no sin was present until Adam ate the aple thus there was no evil at creation.

#3. God did not create Evil... God created Man with his own creativity and choyce... It if from Mans choyce and his own creativity that MAN created evil...

Evil came from man... Not God...

God uses Evil to bring about Good...
"Straight lines can be drawn with crooked sticks"

God uses evil to bring Good. this is what is written in each chapter of every verse you mentioned above.

Each verse you wrote, please read the 2 chapters before it and 2 chapters after it and you will get a better picture of what i mean.

All of the book of Kings, Micah, Judges, Isaiah, 1 2 Samuel all talk about how God uses Evil to bring about Good...

an example: God alowed Man to MURDER his only Son Jesus Christ... "alowing Jesus to be murdered was an evil act" in our view however to the father it brought about salvation and new life; which = GOOD....

there are many views on this subject please read them ALL and ballance out your own discisions... thanks

Please excuse the mispellings lol.... i typed this in a small amount of time... thanks

John

Yeah, in a sense He created evil. You can't have light with out dark and you can't balance good without evil. So what are you getting at? What you're failing to acknowledge is that God punishes the wicked ("evil" in this case), and even those who are good.

"But Stevo, why does your 'loving God' punish good people!?"

Simple. You love someone *so* much and know them more than *they* know themselves that if they aren't punished, they will not learn the lesson that you are trying to teach them. Through punishment, we (well, maybe i's just me) learn from our mistakes and try to not do them again. (Yes, I know it's hard. Oh man it's hard at times...) You're female, you should know all about manipulating a guy to learn how to do something... ;-)

"I don't learn through punishment. It makes me want to rebel all the more!"

Join the club. I'm as stubborn as most get. That just means that I'll have to learn the hard and long way.

In the end, God is the final judge. He determines if you're guilty or not. And, like most of the judges here, they can do what they want with you.

In many places in the Hebrew Scriptures, the word sa·tan´ appears without the definite article. Used in this way, it applies in its first appearance to the angel that stood in the road to resist Balaam as he set out with the objective of cursing the Israelites. (Nu 22:22, 32) In other instances it refers to individuals as resisters of other men. (1Sa 29:4; 2Sa 19:21, 22; 1Ki 5:4; 11:14, 23, 25) But it is used with the definite article ha to refer to Satan the Devil, the chief Adversary of God. (Job 1:6, ftn; 2:1-7; Zec 3:1, 2) In the Greek Scriptures the word sa·ta·nas´ applies to Satan the Devil in nearly all of its occurrences and is usually accompanied by the definite article ho.

If God is what you believe in, then yes he created evil. His mindset was that of balance, you need night with day, happiness with sorrow. Without evil, good does not exist. BUT, God is a creation of fiction, because the human brain can not deal with a thought without duality.

I'm sorry, I must have been seeing things. I thought for a second that someone actually believes the bible is NOT a piece of fiction, or written by a human!

next, i guess you think adam and eve were real too, and people didnt exist until just like 3,000 years ago!! LOL!

At first it might seem that if God created all things then evil must have been created by God. However, there is an assumption here that needs to be cleared up. Evil is not a "thing" - like a rock or electricity. You can't have a jar of evil! Rather, evil is something that occurs, like running. Evil has no existence of its own - it is really a lack in a good thing. For example, holes are real but they only exist in something else. We call the absence of dirt a hole - but it cannot be separated from the dirt. So when God created, it is true that all that existed was good. One of the good things that God made was creatures who had the freedom to choose good. In order to have a real choice, God had to allow there to be something besides good to choose. So God allowed these free angels and humans to choose good or non-good (evil). When a bad relationship exists between two good things we call that evil, but it does not become a "thing" that required God to create it.

Perhaps a further illustration will help. If I were to ask the average person "does cold exist?" - his/her answer would likely be yes. However, this is incorrect. Cold does not exist. Cold is the absence of heat. Similarly, darkness does not exist. Darkness is the absence of light. Similarly, evil is the absence of good, or better, evil is the absence of God. God did not have to create evil, but rather only allow for the absence of good.

Look at the example of Job in Job chapters 1-2. Satan wanted to destroy Job, and God allowed Satan to do everything but kill Job. God allowed this to happen to prove to Satan that Job was righteous because he loved God, not because God had blessed him so richly. God is sovereign and ultimately in control of everything that happens. Satan cannot do anything unless he has God's "permission." God did not create evil, but He allows evil. If God had not allowed for the possibility of evil, both mankind and angels would be serving God out of obligation, not choice. He did not want “robots” that simply did what He wanted them to do because of their "programming." God allowed for the possibility of evil so that we could genuinely have a free will and choose whether we wanted to serve Him or not.

Ultimately, there is not an answer to these questions that we can fully comprehend. We, as finite human beings, can never fully understand an infinite God (Romans 11:33-34). Sometimes we think we understand why God is doing something, only to find out later that it was for a different purpose than we originally thought. God looks at things from an eternal perspective. We look at things from an earthly perspective. Why did God put man on earth knowing that Adam and Eve would sin and therefore bring evil, death, and suffering on all mankind? Why didn’t He just create us all and leave us in Heaven where we would be perfect and without suffering? The best answer I can come up with is this: God didn’t want a race of robots who did not have a free will. God had to allow the possibility of evil for us to have a true choice of whether to worship God or not. If we never had to suffer and experience evil, would we truly know how wonderful heaven is? God did not create evil, but He allowed it. If He hadn’t allowed evil, we would be worshipping Him out of obligation, not by a choice of our own free will.

A sampling? How about that lake of fire god created that he uses to eternally torture non-believers? Creating an evil spirit is nothing compared to that.

God even created Pharoh so that he could use him to be the example that he was to the Israelites.
