I am a very friendly girl that can be somewhat shy at first. I try to be nice to everyone and I'm always smiling and laughing. Well I don't want my friendliness to be mis-construed as interest or flirting. I don't touch guys, unless they are my friends, but I always keep the proper distance and never say anything overtly flirtatious, however I tend to attract stalker-ish/psychotic-ish type guys (one guy threatened to stalk and kill me) and my friends and family say it is because I am "too friendly/nice." Do guys really take you being friendly or nice as flirting? Because I do not want to not be my real self-yet at the same time I do not want to send the wrong message. By the way I am very modest when I dress..so no sending the wrong message there! ;)

Well, it's a very fine line between flirting and just being friendly. Not many people really know where it is. And even if they do, the line seems to disappear when one's vision is distorted by infatuation. I don't know what to tell you. Some guys will always take things the wrong way (everyone does at some point, I think). Just be friendly and don't be too surprised if some guys actually like you. Good night!

I'm sorry to learn of your predicament. My guess is you're not only friendly and nice you're pretty too! Well, at times there are prices to pay for being too nice. My advice is to learn to listen instead of being overly vocal. This way you won't be construed any wrong messages. As for the unwelcome attention from the stalkers, check with the local police for advices. Take care.

You probably have that sweet loving way of bringing out the niceness in everyone you meet. Unfortunately for an introvert who normally will just keep to his weird self, opens up to your angel like personality. When they realize you don't care for them that way, they flip out.

Just a normal chat...and a polite way of saying "thank U" my bf said that i am flirty. Do u know wat i do now? It is just to ignore.. and heck care.. i lead my own ways, i do not need to change bcoz of others and moreover over such a ridiculous remark. Wat a "flirt"

guys see only only what they want to see. telling a guy outright to **** off is also seen as flirting to some. it happens to us all so try not to worry about it. stalkers are also common, dont humour them. be blunt and tell them to go away and that you dont like them, if they persist then report them to the proper authorities.
