Real butter is actually better for you than margarine , so eggnog probably isn't so bad ,though somewhat fattening

Not only is eggnog healthy...In some cases, it can be almost necessary for good health.

For instance; Eggnog has been found to be the only liquid, other than crude oil, with enough specific gravity, to flush fruit-cake through your colon... Also explaining why its only consumed during the fruit-cake season.

If you use packaged egg whites like Egg Beaters and then some Regular Egg beaters; Egg Nog can be a lot more healthy

But old fashioned Egg Nog is a coronary waiting to happen: 14 egg yolks, cups of heavy cream, booze.

The thing is you only get it once a year and as the guy says; it does flush the fruitcake down.

After three of them I do feel that guzzling the entire punchbowl is an attractive idea.

why do you say that is unhealthy?...if you think about it almost everything that we eat is unhealthy..of course if you over eat it...eggnog is a seasonal drink and won't hurt no one...if you have a health issues then stay away from it

Probably better not to think about it, and just enjoy, since it's part of the holidays. Otherwise, compare store brands, and stick with the one that seems most healthy, instead of making your own.

It depends but nowadays. there's a much healthier version which uses soy-based produce and spices are added to make it more healthy and some are without alcohol too.

Since it is not a drink that you guzzle by the gallon & since it is only seasonal it won't hurt a person able to have a normal diet, but it is high in fat, sugar & cholesterol.
