We tip them ALOT (or at least I do), whenever we are there. It doesn't matter who is working we are generous with all of them.

As a bartender myself, extra cash is ALWAYS appreciated. Many of the members I wait on have given all the bartenders $20 or $100 around Christmas which is always nice. But a simple card with a thank you is always appreciated, too.

Why give a gift to a bartender? I dont think that is necessary.

Buy them a lifetime membership to Alcoholics Anonymous and go with them to make sure they attend.
