Give him a keyboard to communicate with. There are lots of autistics online who communicate by typing rather than speaking. The author of the blog at ballastexistenz.autistics.org is one such autistic. I recommend reading her blog.

In general, even if an autistic can speak (like me) we still find text-based communication easier, so stop trying to push speech if you have been, and find him a good text-to-speech communicator.

I dont think of that its autism in any respect! I only think of that he has some problems with being effective by way of fact autistic infants will many times refuse to be touched and are quiet. while they get disillusioned they are going to many times rock decrease to and fro or do a non-supply up flow like shaking some thing. None of those "symptoms" sound like autism :)

You probably need to see a specialist. Do you have an Autism Association in your state? They might have ideas.
