The clerics and the Church, the Mullahs and the Maulavis, the Pandas in the Temples and all such priestly class in the society. These categories of people never like the Truth to be revealed and they continue with the false hood that each religion contains. Every religious belief should be updated with the advance of human knowledge and gradual unfolding of the Truth with the passage of time.

I assume that you mean who protects "against" falsehood in religion. In the Christian Church the ecumenical councils of the church do. There have not been any in many centuries. In the RC church they have a department that watches over the theologians to be sure they do not slip into heresy. Other churches have similar things to a lessor degree.

Nothing protects us against falsehood in Religion.

God has given us free will. Free to lie, and free to believe lies. He just hopes that someday we will get his message.

And, just what is God's message?

Harmony is harmony.

Disharmony is the only sin against God.

Religion is run by man so it is hard to protect. Faith is the word and that is protected always.

God warns against false religion! He gave you a brain. Or maybe he forgot to give you horse sense. Listen and HE will tell you. Have you forgotten Waco already?

People aren't "lying" if they believe that what they are saying is the truth. Lying involves active deception, whereas passing on information that is false, if it is not believed to be false, is just continuing to pass on the misinformation, but it is not "lying" because no deception is intended - the teller believes all of it - they don't know its not the truth, so they can't "officially" be accused of lying. Is that what you meant?

FRIEND:

I had never really thought of that, but maybe people like us do. Maybe that is why we are here questioning each other and challenging each other about what we believe (just wish we could be a bit nicer about it).

GOD LOVES US ALL
