Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are both male and female missionaries. The male missionaries have the title of Elder. The female missionaries have the title of Sister. I was a missionary in Puerto Rico several years ago. Someone already posted www.lds.org to learn more, but I would like to add that we believe in the Bible and the Book of Mormon as two strong witnesses of Jesus Christ. Hopefully the missionaries you met went over some of the basic beliefs we had. Hope you listen to them again, or else talk to an active, practicing Mormon. Have a happy day, and I send you five gummy bears.

Yes, the Mormons (LDS) are a group of psuedo-Christians who come across sounding very much like real Christians.
Please don't confuse them with some of my family: the Moormans, Mormans, Moremans, Mohrmans, etc. They are all English and German surnames. We have absolutely no connection with the false LDS Mormon's religion. The surnames are pronounced the same as the church though.

Oh they are famous for knocking on doors! I lived in one city where they always, always showed up on my door no matter how many times I said "no thank you , not interested" The Jehovah Witnesses do the same thing too. It's so annoying!

I was a missionary. I"m glad they came to your house "in clothes" otherwise, the Mission President may have a problem wtih them. ahha
The church is TRUE. You should let them teach you the discussions. It changed my life and taught me things that I was just not learning in my own church.
Then one day you can go on a mission yourself!!

Are you talking about the guys who believe that an ancient civilization of jews resided in the United states despite NO physical evidence and despite being ridiculed by all respected historians? The one where a guy found some magic beans, I mean plates that only he could decipher?
Yeah, I've heard of them.

They would mow your lawn too if you asked them. Every Mormon serves two years talking about their beliefs. Usually cycle around in white shirts. They have their own spiritual book.
