is there a law stating that there has to be a visual posted sign saying that there is a photo camera at the next intersection

YES!

In Long Beach there must be a visual sign that allows you to know that there is a Red Light Camera in the area. If you do not see one, then you may have a chance to fight it in court because of the regulations that those cameras have.

** These things aren't made to catch people in the act. They are usually strategically placed at streets that have much higher accident rate's. They are there to deter those who would normally run the lights, therefore, less accidents.

i dont think so, bu ti dont know, would make the camara pretty pointless tho if there was, cuz people would just behave there, and then after the pass they go back to bein their wreckless self
