Try switching from Seroquel to geodon. Our clinic have seen clients come in with Elevated blood surgar and weight gain on seroquel. geodon is proven to stabalize weight and/or lose the weight that was caused by Seroquel.

Hello! I worked in a pharmacy before as I know Seroquel and Lexapro is for anxiety, depression and paranoria.
If you want drugs maybe you can use Xenical (Orlistat). But be sure to ask your doctor about Xenical. Whether it will be good for you or not.
Drugs can be dangerous also especially over dose yourself. So i believe the best way is to eat less fatty foods. Exercise, instead riding vehicles then walk. Enjoy sports, fun and exercise will go together. Drink apple juice, fibers help. Eat more vegetables than meats.
For a happy feeling. Remember a peson will look good if you have a good heart. It is not only physical looks counts. Good luck and take care of your health :)

Lexapro is not suppose to cause weight gain like the other meds, Seroquel does. I found that even the Lexapro has a tendency to cause weight gain. Although the degree was much less.

I was unable to take Lexapro because it gave me chest pains, but I am currently taking 1750 mgs of Serequel twice a day. It is really hard to lose weight regardless of what you do while you are taking it. I have found that eating less and eating better, plus adding more exercise than I would usually do is helping me a little, but not nearly as much as those things did before I began taking it. A doctor won't tell you anything different than monitor your diet and exercise. Good luck to you.

sarge927, I disagree with this point: "don’t do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat." (I've got to say apart from this I totally agree with everything else said) Burning fat is a slow process. To actually get your body to start burning fat, you've got to exercise for at least half an hour for the system to kick in. I've been on the verge of mountain running for England a number of times, it requires muscle AND minimal fat, and since typically in both adult races and training I could be out running for hours, how can I still be running if I am constantly burning muscle? You can only burn muscle when you run out of fat. It is the body's last resort for energy, and would definately be a problem if you starved yourself and then went for a long run or walk. It sounds like you go to the gym regularly and do varied exercises, I think you can easily take on an hour jog or walk, this is the most efficient way for you to burn fat and loose weight, the next best methods are swimming and cycling, again, you've got to do these activities for at least half an hour straight before you're body will start to burn the fat. The good news is you don't need to put in a lot of effort! You'll burn fat if you're working below about 70% of your hardest effort. The aforementioned "40 minutes and you burn muscle" is frankly nonsense, otherwise I would be a running skeleton, which I assure you I am not.

screw drugs, pills, etc etc and all that crap. if you want to lose weight eat less, eat healthy, work out and have self discipline and motivation. losing weight doesnt happen over night. set goals, and talk to a personal trainer about what you want to accomplish. they should be able to offer you a meal plan and workout routine that will help you meet your goal and surpass it.
