FRIEND:
All news reports have it as coming out right after the first of the year, including the best of the computer magazines. I think we will see the first edition by July 1st, lol. I have began to see stickers on computers that say "Vista Ready". Please note, I began on DOS and have lived through every version of Windows...I think I will survive Vista too.

I have used it, I know somebody, it will be made public soon. But for at least the next year I am sticking to XP and 2000 PRO. Why you ask. As a system builder, it will take that long to get the major bugs out and unlike 2000 and XP which have 2 versions, Vista has 5 or 6, I am not sure how many they will release at the same time. just don't be to fast to jump on it.

It was just released in a business version. A private party version is due in the first quarter of 2007..
This is great because it will give the software a real test before regular consumers (users) buy it.
