If you compare the Camry to the Saturn Aura, the Aura, will win by a longshot. If you get the V6 on a base Camry, it will cost more than getting the top of the line Aura XR with STANDARD V6 and automatic transmission. Thats not even including all the little options the Aura comes standard with. Its the next big thing waiting to happen in the automotive world. Once the public finds out about these things they wont be able to keep them on the lot. In customer (and professional) reviews the Saturn wins, and its not even close. Even with all the excitement it has caused in the enthusiast world, JD Power is yet to rate it, and is not included in many head on tests. The Saturn is also an rebadged Opel, giving it European looks and feel. Cars.com has great reviews by consumers and pros. The CAmry has already had a recall, while the Aura is clean of problems. Toyotas recent past should give you some clues, and its not what you think. Last year Toyota had the most recalls, but the media "failed" to notice since millions would stand against them because of thier reputation. These days reputation is nothing, technology advances so fast it cant keep up. For ex: three years ago GM was one of the worst companies, now they have the most top-rated vehicles, and the quality/reliability surpasses Toyota. Honda is still on top of the reliability ratings. Ford also had more recalls than GM and DaimlerChrysler combined, for reasons like exploding engines and wheels falling off. Here is a quote from the Washington Posts review of the Toyota CAmry "one of which is the Chevrolet Malibu, which in my real-world driving experience has been every bit as good and reliable as the much-ballyhooed Camry but has been maligned primarily because it is a Chevrolet". Oddly enough that was an '04 Malibu VS the totally redisigned '07 Camry. Common problems with Toyotas are useless cupholders, cheap stereo, grotesquely underpowered 4 cylinder engine, and plastic rattling until it falls off. People then complain that when they take it to the dealer to be fixed they just say "The cars are made with so much plastic its practically impossible to fix" GM is also the worlds fastest growing manufacturer, and that dosent happen by accident. Read these reviews (search lowest first on both and you will see which has more problems)

Toyota Camry:

Then test drive them both and see which is best, I guarantee you will pick the Aura.

Ignore the first comment. Acura's most powerful sedan only has 290 hp. The next Accord will probably be nice, but I expect it to have around 270 hp like the Camry.

I've test driven both the SE and XLE V6 models. They are very fast cars and seemed a lot faster than an 04 BMW 330i my friend used to have. The SE has more feedback through the steering wheel so you can feel the road better. It was similar to the feedback you'd get from a VW Passat. The XLE is more plush and has a smoother ride, however since it has softer shocks it leans a little more through the turns than the SE. You won't notice this unless you drive the Camry like a Corvette.

Overall I liked the interior of the XLE better, however I found the leather seats in the SE to be more comfortable and better looking. The XLE seats are still quite comfortable, but I didn't like the odd shapes of the cushions.

Camrys are great cars, you won't be dissapointed. If you live in SoCal buy from Claremont Toyota. Great selections and they will give you free oil changes for life.

The 2007 Camry is one of the best sedans around. I say so because:

Decent horsepower at 268 HP
Torque is great
Suspension setting is great!
Good Reputation
Award Winning Car
Sturdy (U.S. manufactured)
Stylish both inside and out
Jam packed with features
Spacious and more cargo room
Starting to become reminiscent of Lexus cars (w/c I find good!)
Price is standard (not too expensive, not too cheap)

With more pros than cons, who can say no to the 2007 Camry?
However, unless its a hybrid, be ready to accept the fact that a V6 engine consumes more fuel than you think.

That V6 268 hp is on par with my 330i's 255 hp. Both get to 60 mph in about 6.3 seconds. It's a front driver, so on hard launches the Camry will have some torque steer.
