Should i be worried? it's the only food this happens to me with

I know what you mean. I think it happens to me when I don't chew the pieces all the way. You can feel it go down your esophagus near your chest. It probably only happens with carrots because they're so crunchy and fibrous and harder to chew up than other foods.

If you are eating raw carrots on an empty stomach, it is probably gas and the fact that your tummy has to work hard to digest this uncooked food.

I was just eating baby carrots and dip!!!! LMAO!!! Yeah, its a pain when it doesn't go down right. Have a glass of water to wash it down the tube.

This used to happen to me. You might have gas stuck in that spot and the ruffage will make it worst. Try steaming the vegetables or getting Gas X.

do you chew yur food all the way before swallowing? dumb question, i know, but the same thing happened to me. i ate too big chunks, too fast.
