In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

God is the light of the heavens and the earth. His light is as if there were a lustrous niche, wherein is a lamp. The lamp is inside a glass-globe. The globe is, as it were, a glittering star. The lamp is lit from the oil of a blessed tree -an olive - neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil well-nigh would shine forth even though fire touched it not. Light upon light! Allah guides to His light whomsoever He pleases. And Allah sets forth parables for men, and Allah knows all things full well.

And remember the time when We made the House a resort for mankind and a place of security; We said, 'Take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer.' And we commanded Abraham and Ishmael, saying, 'Purify My House for those who perform the circuit and for those who remain therein for devotion and those who bow down and fall prostrate in Prayer.'

Allah has made the Ka'bah the Sacred House, a means of support and uplift for mankind, as also the Sacred Month and the offerings and the animals with collars. That is so that you may know that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and that Allah knows all things well.

I guess you can look at it that way.

I think, based on my experiences at the hajj, I would say that it is a friendly conference of Muslim minds, individual and collective prayer, supplication and submission, and it also gives you an insight on how humans will gather together in small and large spaces on the Day of Resurrection, as they appear in front of their creator before they are individually judged on their personal deeds.

Hajj purifies the person from inside, just as ablution cleans the body from outside. Hajj is a spiritual and physical purification of the self. Also, this journey gives the mind a rest from thinking about too many things at the same time, and it makes the mind focus on only one idea, which is asking Allah for forgiveness.

*Hajj is also an example of steadfastness, when a person has chosen the righteous truth. Pilgrims in their rituals remember Lady Hajar, when Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) left here in the dry valley, where Makkah is, all by herself with her newborn baby. This was when she asked him, “Was it Allah who ordered you to this?” He answered, “Yes.” She simply said what meant, “Then He won’t get us lost.”

This inner strength and steadfast belief in God’s ability and care for his servants, which penetrated and controlled her heart, is transmitted to the heart of each pilgrim throughout the rituals of Hajj. Each pilgrim remembers our Mother Hajar running up and down between the two hills of Safa and Marwah while she was searching for a drop of water for her child; then Allah provided her with His help and steadfastness by having the water of Zamzam flow from underneath the feet of her baby. So, the assertion of belief that takes place within the hearts of pilgrims during this obligatory worship is a divine gift from God Himself.

*And, in this faridah (obligatory ritual of worship) we see Muslims raising their hands humbly asking Allah Almighty to give them their needs in this life. So, if they are rich they remember that their riches are a gift from God Himself.

Pilgrims also train themselves concerning patience in order to be able to complete the steps of Hajj. They raise their hands up, asking Allah to give them the virtue of patience.

The journey of Hajj can be considered as a spiritual journey, because it touches upon different aspects of the human self, one of them is his relation with god, only one god.

Simple - from overall human (layman) analysis -
Anything that pulls everything towards itself (in a uniform manner) has to be the Centre, plus Polar,, so we see that picture / phenomenon there ...
So there is yusually One centre or Polar force... a basic view..

The Purpose of Hajj
Allah says: “And (remember) when We showed Ibraheem(AS) the site of the House (saying): 'Associate not anything with Me, and sanctify My House for those who circumambulate it, and those who stand up (for prayer), and those who bow and make prostration (in prayer).” [Surah al-Hajj (22): 26-27]

This verse signifies the purpose of Hajj, it being, the worship of Allah. Allah, the Exalted ordered Ibraheem (AS) to build the Kaa'ba and call people to circumambulate it, and stand up (for prayer), bow down and make prostration (in prayer) to Allah (alone). Therefore, one who performs Hajj is required to sincerely worship Allah and associate none as partners with Him; seek His help, forgiveness and Taqwa.
