She sounds like a good catch. Why don't you get involved in the same sports? Or read up on those sports so you can talk to her about them? It is good that you have those points of interest so you can spark a conversation with her. Also, just simply ask her out, it is so attractive when a guy just asks rather than beat around the bush. Ask yourself this. Which is worse?
You ask her and she tells you "yes or no".
You don't ask her and you never know what she would have said.
It's always worse not knowing, so at least do it to find out what she would have said.
If she says "no", big deal; move on and ask the next girl. If you ask 10 times and fail 9 tries but succeed in one, then that is all you need. (Trust me it takes me more than 10 tries.)
Practice talking to at least 10 different girls a day. I don't care whether you just say "hello" to them and walk away. Just say something.
Act like it's not a big deal, like you don't care. Go for it, man just ask her.

Ask her to go to a game with you, or to join you in playing one of the sports that you both enjoy!

charm her.ask her if she wants to go wakebording or something sometime,and if it goes well,ask her to dinner or a movie or something else on another night(but things like "so are you busy on Saturday?what about Sunday? Are you free on Monday?"is just annoying)

Try being yourself around her, but be a smooth talker. Talk about how beautiful she is and invite her to a game.
