Yes, it will. The cold temperature inhibits mold growth.
I actually keep mine in the freezer- I slice them when I first get them, then defrost or toast them as I need them.

i buy in bulk all the time from Panera who make some awesome fresh bagels. But of course I can't eat them all in a couple day's time b4 the get stale. so i slice them up and put them in individual sandwich bags then place them in the freezer. whenever i'm in the mood for one. just a quick 20 sec on high ( sometimes less depending the wattage) then pop them in the toaster, voila- no more moldy wasted bagels!

Yes, bagels stay fresher longer in the fridge, but when you take them out they tend to be hard as a brick until they get to room temperature. If you were to toast them or something, then you could eat them faster I suppose.

If you pre cut them and stick them in the freezer they will last for ages. Pull them out a few minuits before toasting. If you dont like them toasted pull out idividually the night before and put in the fridge.

They will still get stale in the fridge, but not as fast. Put them in the freezer the day you buy them and take them out one by one as you need them. They will be as fresh as they were when you put them in the freezer.

Anything that is wrapped properly and is in the refridgerator will last longer. Also freezing is another method of fresh bread.

If you must keep them for a week, freeze them and then 40-50 secs in the microwave to thaw out.
