No & yes. Right now God is moving in a new way in USA. Expect special Christmas from God this Christmas. Also, for those whose hearts are toward the Lord, A breakthrough each month for the year 2007.
God is moving powerfully in other countries also.

Definately. We are the church of laodecia described in Rev. We are the most complacent and lukewarm church in all of history, well, next to the real laodecians. If you look at the amount of conversions going on in other countries, it puts us to shame. They hear the word and are on fire about it. We have known it for so long, it is old hat. Now I do also need to add that brand new christians here are like that, but most of us are born into Christianity. That is why overseas missions is so important. It helps us more than we ever help others, even though that is why we go.

How bout this answer, "yes and no"? Plenty of Christians in the US are thinking they are Christians but they only think that cause they go to church. They would never put their lives on the line if they were questioned about their faith.
But Christians in countries where they could be persecuted, they aren't afraid to stand up for their faith.

To be a Christian there is to become marked for death. You have to love Jesus more than life to do that. American religions are just where satan wants them to be; fat lazy and without fervor. Most likely, Americans will never be asked, as many in other countries are, to lay down their lives for Jesus. Well there are a few exception. The young girl in Colorado, the kids in Paducah, Ky. but this seldom happens. Maybe to a few missionaries who go over there to help. Sad isn't it.

Definitely!!
You would be amazed if you met Christians from China or third-world countries.
Christians in all Western countries remind me of the church described in one of the letters to the seven churches in Revelations (luke warm... think you are rich when really you are poor... asleep...)

I think that adversity will cause those who are not strong in their faith to fall away. But those that remain are very strong in the faith and in many locations, christianity continues to grow at a very rapid pace.
Just ask any foreign missionary who has served in a country that doesn't welcome Christians.

I'd say yes because they would be more prayerful. God's persecuted children are like weeds. Everytime they get mowed down, they come back, even thicker.
